Dear Disney Elementary Families, 

What a profound change we’ve experienced in such a short time. As we now know, school will start on August 31st. Our District is now prepared to implement Distance Learning for all students, starting Monday, August 31st.  Please check your FB page, text messages, and emails for important updates and more information to come. Distance Learning is defined as instruction in which the student and teacher are in different locations. It’s important to note that Distance Learning includes a range of methods and strategies; it is not limited just to digital/online learning. 

Our teachers will connect with each of their students regularly, prioritizing their time together to focus on the most important, relevant learning. For this to be effective, teachers and parents must work as a team to co-facilitate learning, design consistent routines, and establish a learning environment in which students can thrive. 

We will provide you with information and resources that will guide our partnership through the end of the school year. Our unique journey together has just begun, so please be ready to keep adjusting in the weeks ahead. We appreciate your patience, support, and grace as we move forward together. Go Disney Rangers!!

¡Que cambio más profundo hemos pasado en tan corto tiempo! Como ahora sabemos, clases comienzan agosto 31. El distrito está preparado para implementar aprendizaje a distancia para todos los estudiantes, comenzando lunes, agosto 31. Por favor revise su página de Facebook, sus mensajes de texto, y correo electrónico para recibir importantes actualizaciones. El aprendizaje a distancia es definido como instrucción en la cual el estudiante y la maestra están en diferentes sitios. Es importante informar que el aprendizaje a distancia incluirá un rango de métodos y estrategias no limitadas a modo digital/aprendizaje en línea.

Nuestros maestros se conectarán con cada uno de sus estudiantes regularmente, con la prioridad de los tiempos juntos enfocados en los temas más importantes a su aprendizaje. Para que esto sea efectivo, maestros y padres deben trabajar como equipo para facilitar aprendizaje, rutinas consistentes, u establecer un ambiente en cual nuestros estudiantes prosperen.
